Yep, sure do, and it's not a problem (can always do arm curls if necessary). :-)

Actually I'm taking it with me to Comdex next week to utilize the wireless access via Symbol in the convention center (will let people know how the Symbol card works).

I pretty much take it everywhere I travel now.

All the emails and posts I've done today up to this point were on the road on a battery powered 5660 with a Nextel wireless PCMCIA card. It worked great and I had a full 56K from the passenger seat of the vehicle driving to RI. It wasn't uncomfortable at all to hold in my lap and the batteries lasted over 4 hours in and out of standby. I was very happy with it.

PCTORQUE, are you using a dual battery?

PCtorque,

just curious ,

I tried the im1100 on Nextel and hated it.

Have you heard about the Sprint Novatel Merlin C201

I get about 100K anywhere on their network and love it.

just look under phones and then for data users

elitemetal, Yes, I'm using the dual battery setup.

Dan, thanks for the advice. I had a Sprint cell phone when I lived in TX that was great, but moved up here and there was no reception. So, I went with Nextel and they've been great for here. The Sprint option looks awesome, but I'd hate to grab it and still have the bad reception around here. Also, the Nextel is $55 a month unlimited which is cheaper... but yes, SLOW =) I tested it at 38K on bandwidth speed place while on the highway. It was a solid connection the whole trip though at least.

PCtorque,

if you have a vision phone and you use the add a phone option for ulimited "PCSvision" for $10/month,

Sprint is a way better deal

just thought you might like the head's up.

But IF Sprint coverage sucks in your area,

we all know there's no helpin that !

unless they build more towers !!!!!!!!!!

Why don't you just use the Car adapter instead of running off batteries in the car?
