Can anyone tell me how I cut out comercials and make menus for tv shows I record? Like say I record a whole season of a tv show how can I go about making a menu that lets me select each episode seperately? Any program reccomendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks again for all the help.

Adobe Premier can be used to edit a variety of different file types. Then you may recompress them to a smaller format, so you can fit them onto one DVD. You may lose some quality depending on the format you use.
Then using Adobe Encore (DVD Authoring Software) You could create custom DVD Menus and Chapters. You could make each show a different chapter. What ever you want, the possiblities are endless.
Of course it's not free and you would have to learn the software.
But there are trial versions of the software......
