notebookforums sell our email addresses?

Not making any accusations but I've noticed that since joining this forum I get a lot of Chinese and computer related spam emails in my inbox. Bit annoying because I stupidly used my proper email address and not usual crappy email I use for signing up to forums. Anyone else noticed this?

nope, i have deffinately never gotten any. The forums are run by the people from PCTorque, which is a legit company. I can almost guarantee they wouldnt do anything like that.

if you've ever posted your email address in a post there is always the possibility of bots pulling it from there.

No problem with spam here.

Nope, me neither. Like someone else said, gmail is great. The spam filter in that thing is awesome. If you want an invite drop me a PM and will be glad to give ya one.

no problem here. I rarely get any spam on the email I signed up here with. well shoot, I forget which one. The univ or aol. Hmmm get about 1 spam a week, so I doubt that I get more from joining here.

although I have noticed a rise and fall in the number of junk in my hotmail acct. It's been doing that for several years now.

hmmmh...spam has not changed for me, still the same ole crappilola, no more and no less. PCT is cool.

I just join this forum for few weeks and I have yet receive 1 junk Chinese email about sex link. I am sure the email leak is from this forum.

I have never use the company email account. Just because I can't use my Yahoo email account so I have to use my office's email address. The office email address I just got it about a month ago which only be use within office only. The email account is only be use when my boss communiate with me remotely. No body else I know has my office email address information. I was so angry because the company monitor my email activities..... I just hope they wont think I visit those sex link websites.

BTW, I start my new job about 40 days ago. I have send out any mail from that email account.

Oh well, I like this forum. So.......
