Recording Video

Do any of you guys know of a program that will record the video and audio coming from a media player. I've tried programs that record an area of your screen but they all blank out the video (which is understandable considering copyright and what not). Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

It isn't a copyright thing that the video is blank. It is because the video is being displayed in 'Overlay' or 'Accelerated' mode. If you have a program that captures the Audio, but captures just black for the vid, you're almost there. Just turn video acceleration off, either from the controls and options of the player or from the DirectX property pages.
