a little but the noise is no worse than that of my desktop so it doesnt bother me. the only time i really hear it is when i do things like heavy gaming, but in regular use i never hear it at all.

Hmm. Never looked at prices on laptop hard drives, but now I have even more of a reason to use my desktop, instead of laptop, for storage...

200GB SATA, 7200RPM, 16MB cache, $122 canadian (tax included).
Yay for 3.5" drives

Well, just because it's ok in a 15.4" doesn't mean it will be ok in a 12-14". Just read all of the W3v problems just because of the hard drive heat.

Just installed the 100GB 7k100, the difference is unbelievable!!!
For anybody deciding whether to buy it it's definately worth the money imo...
