probably not. i dont think there will be that much difference between 7k60 and 7k100.

you could always get one off newegg, test it out, and see if y ou notice anything. if you really dont, id just return it (:

im coming from a 40gb 4200 rpm, so i think my difference will be just a tad bigger than what you would notice.

im also getting a 80gb 7k100 for xmas (:

hopefully itll help in my quest for faster dvd encoding!

im going for the 100/7200 when the price comes down, my 60/7200 is running out of space and love the drive.

have you considered an external drive? For the same price you could have a 3.5 inch external drive same speed with 250 gigabytes of space. Something you might wanna think about.
