About 45% in Broward now have Power and 65% in Dade. The hours are long, 14.5 today which is also my 27th straight day worked - none under 12 hrs in length. We were in a major rewind of the generator and rebuild of the steam turbine and the Lauderdale 5A Mitsubishi/Westinghouse (now Siemens) was getting a new rotor. Needless to say it was crazy before the hurricane hit, now its ludicrous. I really do feel bad for those without power, its a whole 'nother world without it. We also sucked alot of liquid hydrocarbons in with the natural gas we burn, which comes from the Hurricane Katrina hit wells. That screwed up a couple of burner tips on 4B and collapsed the gas strainer. Took a few weeks to find its way (crud in gas) to Florida but were feeling effects now and because of it we are keeping 150,000 in the dark. Were working hard to get it back on line though maybe tonight.
