I am trying to set up a home network - and I am completely new at this - for the time being I was going to try and set it up wired. I thought that my laptop had wireless and wired networking abilities on it, but when I try to set up the network - the only adapter that comes up is the wireless one.
The specifications say this:
Networking
Networking Network adapter
Data Link Protocol Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g
Remote Management Protocol DMI 2.0
Compliant Standards IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g
Does that mean I can only connect via wireless networking?? If not then why can I not set up a wired networking?
I have a Belkin switch which has worked for wired connections before however I was not the one setting them up.
Link to my belkin switch:

Please help - I would be most grateful.
