Clock Frequencies Radeon 9600 M10...

Hi Guys,

I am wondering what the 'official' Clock Frequencies of the M10 Mobility Radeon 9600 , and the Mobility Radeon 9600 Pro are... !?

I have a notebook, P4 2.8 Ht, UXGA 15,1", 512Mb DDR 333Mhz, Radeon 9600 Pro 128 Mb, 60 Gb 7200.

What I want to know if I have the correct version .. so the Pro version , and I wanted that to verify with the Core and Memory Frequencies.

What I have found with PowerStrip and Rad Clock are the same values,

Core freq. = 344,25 Mhz

Memory freq. = 236,25 Mhz

I am using the standard driver supplied with my notebook, having troubles installing the Omega ones, as the video inf gives an error not finding the card correct.

3DMark 2001 = 9635 ( 1st try )
3DMark 2003 = 2844 ( 1st try )

Does anyone know the freqs....?!

Or some Specs of your laptop, and 3DMark scores ...

THanx in Advance !!..

Regarding your inquiry:

The specifications for the Radeon 9600 chipset are available from the following Web page:

http://www.ati.com/products/mobility...600/index.html

Note, you will not find a clock speed listings for this product as the manufacturer of the laptop configures our chipset to their own specifications.

Thats what I got from ATI when I questioned them about the exact same question.

Hi Bratag,

I have been wondering around on those ATI sites for a long time now .. but NO where are EXACT numbers of the Mobiles ..... for the Desktop versions you can find soms Mhz's ... but that is all ...

I did send indeed the request for the Mhz's to ATI ... let's see what they will come up with ... i'll post it here ....

I read some numbers on the internet but it was not 100% sure that that was for the MOBILE one ... ....

anyway ... I am still looking ...

I've also been trying to dig out these numbers, weird. Well in this Tom's Hardware Guides article I found some figures which should be correct because this is a review of a reseller notebook carrying the chip. Most of frequencies I've found are from the time the MR10 was coming to the market and I wasn't quite sure if these were the "final" numbers.

"Without a doubt, the outstanding feature of the Mobility Radeon 9600 is its maximum core clock frequency. In the top model, the MR 9600PRO, the clock speeds are supposed to reach a full 350 MHz. The "standard" MR 9600, meanwhile, still runs at a very respectable 300/ 300 MHz (core/ mem). Later, GDDR-2M memory running at 350 MHz is supposed to give the chip an additional performance boost."

This quote is from the chapter "What the Mobility Radeon 9600 Brings to the Table".

@analyysi
i think that the standard core is for M10 is 300/200 and not 300/300.

btw i thought i have a pro-version because my core is 350/200 but then i should have had the pro in the configuration stated, which did not.
And I did not find Overdrive anywhere.

Which means that I have a not an ATI-official pro version (only higher core for the engine) but without overdrive (no thermic sensor).

What do you mean?

I am still wondering what my version is. HP says in the specs that it should be Pro and the core runs 344/207 but again the cfgs say it to be only the standard version. Although I remember reading from somewhere that it doesn't state it if it is the Pro. Beats me.
