respectable 3dmark 05 scores? - Page 2

Hrm getting 3257 OCed might be a problem (unless you only did a tiny overclock). I think the 6800s get mid 3000's non oced and go up to mid 4000's oced. I think getting above 4000 on a stock card is impossible, unless im grossly mistaken.

I was going to comment on the 4300 at stock, but I think it's been beaten into the ground

And 3400 is GREAT for stock.

That is strange... I must have a load of crap running in the backgroun because I used the standard OC that most people on the board recommend (don't remember, it was 6 months ago). Here are the process I have running... anything look suspect?

Burninggrave101 I totally agree. I have a desktop 1 gig system with a 9800 pro w/128 and it only 3dmarks05 at 1700 but i can run FEAR AT HIGH settings with no problems at all at 1024x768 even at 1280x960 it runs ok. The mobility x700 benches at 2400 but runs like crap at high settings. Go figure

Make sure vsync is OFF in the driver settings. It was on by default in the 81.85s from laptopvideo2go.com. It was screwing my scores. After I turned it off, I got about 3500 stock and 4200 OCed.

VSYNC was set to application controlled. I turned it OFF, should it always be off? What is it? It actually didn't make much of a difference anyway (+10pts).

I ran webroot spy sweeper to make sure i didn't have anything in the background. then i OCed to about 360/730. i installed the dell driver 78.11. rebooted. and got a score of 3402. sukas.

I just found a post from when I first got my 9300... I was able to score 4100 back then... something is slowing me down... sigh. suggestions?

i was getting about 3400 stock with 77.30 drivers.. i oc'ed to 360/770 and got 4450 (this was the optimal setting suggested by coolbits) and only noticed a marginal temp increase.. 4300 stock is really good god of war.. I'd oc it to see what you can do but there's no need to keep it that high as long as your happy with it's performance in your favorite games..
