I am currently using laptopvideotogo 76:50 drivers, they seem to work great espcially when I play games...(Americas Army,SoKor2)

I want to update the drivers but am unsure how to do it from laptopvideotogo anymore, for some reseason the first time was easy but now I am conffused, thats why the dell way is more staright forward, atleast at the moment, lol.

Sorry but the search isn't working for me right now, thats why I posted.

At laptopvideo1go:

1. Download the .exe driver
2. Right Click and save as the .inf file
3. Double click the downloaded .exe driver and extract it to your desktop
4. Drag the .inf file into the extracted folder. Yes if ask for overwrite.
5. Run the installation.

I'm actually liking the Dell 78.11 drivers, got 5380 at stock clocks in '05, 6100 at 500/1200. I've also never gotten a video artificating problem with stock drivers that I (very rarely) get while changing resolutions with non-Dell drivers. So since they're both good performance and stable, I'll stick with Dell's 78.11.

Yeah when I ran the setup for these drivers I had to do a system restore becuase it moved somthing and screwed up my drivers..

I very well mayb go with the dell 78.11

Use the Dell drivers. They'll save you time. Don't worry, Dell's drivers don't miss out on any of the important changes...in fact Dell only seems to release new drivers when there's changes worth making.

I'm pretty sure your display is 1440x900, not 1280x800 like in your sig... unless you changed it yourself heheh. That's if it'x WXGA. WUXGA is 1920x1200 and has the glossy finish.

Still having problems? Then do this:

DL Driver Cleaner Pro and run it. Follow the instructions to the letter.
http://www.driverheaven.net/#news76417

At laptovideo2go... right click the link to the modified INF for your driver of choice and "save target as." DL to your desktop, for example.

Next, DL the corresponding driver to your desktop. Run the exe ("8210.exe" for example) which will expand the archived driver files into a folder.

Next, simply drag the modified INF file you DLd into that folder. A Windows message box will appear--tell Windows that you want to replace the original INF with your modified one.

Optional step: DL and run NVLiTE nVIDIA video driver reduction tool:
http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/nvlite/nvlite.shtml

To install the driver, use the "have disk" method:
http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/...p?showtopic=33

Good luck!

yes use the drivers at dell, if y ou go to nvidia you might easily load drivers that are for a desktop graphics card instead of the 6800go card, the drivers are not the same.
