windows remembering network logons?

Is there a way i can set my laptop to remember the log on i use to get into my desktop, annoying to Always have to use the log on and enter the same info everytime..

There are several other ways to accomplish this by registry settings but just using TweakUI is just the simplest...

no no, i dont mean loggin into MY machine, i want to log into my desktop From my laptop, i share my drives so i can keep mp3s and storage on the desktop but can access it from laptop on the network.. but everytime i open the desktop share folder it asks for a login - since the Un/Pw are diff than the log in to the laptop

I am not sure you can remember un/pw for network logins. I know that once you connect, you can reconnect without having the enter the same info. But once you close the connection, you'll need to retype the info. I am not completely sure though.

i thought there was a box that says to save password? I do the same thing with my laptop and desktop at home.. laptop has XP Pro and desktop has Server 2003. It might be something you have to set on the machine ur logging into tho, but i usually just type in the password b/c it only asks like once per session.

If you map a network drive to the shared folder you can then set a different username and password then your system user/pass that it will automatically use for connecting to that network share. It works great!
