5680 LCD Display shot..HELP!

Hello.
I powered on my 5680 today, onlt to discover that there was no display. The rest of the laptop seemed to power on normally. I was wondering if I could hook up my 5680 to my new 19" dell flat screen lcd. I tried hooking it up, but i dont know how to switch the display over to the lcd. is there a command that i have to enter? Thanks,

The command is FN and I THINK f4 it's one of the function keys there should be a little picture on the key.
EDIT:
Just looked and it's the F7 key
