I wrote this letter to Sager tech support but maybe someone here can help.
I am having a problem installing UT2004.
I am getting "Failed reading source file ...
The source media may be bad If installing from CD try cleaning the CD to
remove any dirt, check your CD drive and try again.
This happens on different source files between reboots.

don't want to have to remove a ram module everytime I need to install a

Verified the DVD is clean (it's brand new and no scratches)
Changed IDE Channel from DMA to PIO - unsuccessful
Stopped start up programs from loading in the event that one of them was
interfering with the installation process - unsuccessful
I first installed from DVD and got this error. I tried several times.
The DVD is brand new but then I tried copying the whole DVD to the
harddrive. The copy went fine. Then I tried installing from the
harddrive and got same dumb error.
Have you heard of any problem like this? What can I do?
