Newegg and laptops?

Does Newegg have pretty good reputation for selling laptops? Anything I should I know before ordering a notebook from them?

Be careful. Ask them about their return policy on laptops. I bought one that lasted three days and they would not replace it. They made me go through the manufacturer for repair on a three day old laptop. Fortunately the manufacturer stepped up to the plate and tokk care of the problem very quickly. Personally, I would not buy a laptop from them. I have bought alot from them, but will never buy another laptop from them. Go to discountlaptops.com

Many of their laptop will say something to the effect that the warranty is through the manufacturer. That usually means once you buy it, its between you and the manufacturer.

Right. And that is legal. But it is also a reason not to buy from them.

I beg to differ...

I just bought my lappy from Newegg a week ago and have had no problems. You can read about my experience here.

I agree, I would not buy one that had that disclaimer.... and after looking at their selection, I couldn't find one that didn't have it. I guess if you have no problems its ok; but there are way too many places that will exchange for you.
