So I just got a Lenovo Yoga 13. This is my review.

I have owned dozens of laptops in a variety of brands, and had many different laptops provided for my use at work. Without question, this is the finest I have owned. The Alienware M17x R2 is a...

Hi, I would like to know the native resolutions for the 3 different choices of screens. Also, if you do happen to own a Dell, did you get any stuck/dead pixels and if so, how bothersome is it?
Hi, I would like to know the native resolutions for the 3 different choices of screens. Also, if you do happen to own a Dell, did you get any stuck/dead pixels and if so, how bothersome is it?
Thanks
I just ordered an 8600 with the WUXGA (1920 x 1200) screen. The other two screens are WXGA (1280 x 800) and WSXGA+ (1680 x 1050). If mine has any dead/stuck pixels, it's going back.
I just ordered a 1920 x 1200 as well. On the WUXGA screens, pixel size will be smaller than that of a WXGA or WSXGA screen, so it will be hard to spot. I for one, have accepted that most screens have some pixel problems, hot pixels, light pixels, dead pixels, etc etc. I won't be looking for any particularly, not unless they find me.
all three have the same ratio. If I buy a UXGA (1920x1200), would I be able to tone down the resolution to one of the other 2 without the smudging effect?
This is the greatest screen I have ever seen. The viewing angles are tremendous.
I at first did not think that I would like the 1920x1200 resolution, but within a week I got used to it and now I can't live without it. The ability to basically have twice the workspace as another screen is amazing.
The I8600 I bought for my mother had 1 dead pixel and 5 lit pixels. They are pretty much impossible to see though because of the high resolution (WUXGA). My mother can't see them even when I point out to her where they are.
has anybody been able to compare the sxga+ versus the wuxga side by side and noticed a difference?
I've seen regular SXGA+ and UXGA screens, side by side. There is a big difference between the two, with the UXGA offering a lot more real estate to display more stuff. I suspect there is just as much a disparity between the WSXGA+ and WUXGA screens...maybe even moreso.
