What is the highest Ghz an 8890 can go to?

Hi, I was just wondering what the highest processor speed that the 8890 can support is. I have a 2.6Ghz (college student and I bought mine right when they came out) and will be looking to upgrade within a year or so. Am I right in thinking the 8890 uses a desktop p4 processor?
Thanks!

I believe that the original units went up to 3.06Ghz. The CPU was the same as that used in a desktop.

Is that the max that the 8890 can handle?

My D800P is currently running with a 3.2Ghz Extreme Processor, if thats any help. I would think that any of the pentium 4 processors which are running at 800Mhz would work!

That would be awesome! Now another question, which will probably make me look stupid..lol
Can a 64 bit processor be put into the 8890?

I guess it depends on the socket and what the motherboard can handle...
According to StuRed the extreme processor worked, so that might be an option as well.
Depending on how the funds In the next year go, I plan to get a new processor, as close to 4 ghz I can get, and 2 gigs of ram (already have one)
Hard drive i'm good, I have a 100gb seagate hard drive.

to find out socket and processor specs or whatever

I think you'll find that 3.2 - 3.6 is the range the 8890 can handle. I have never heard of someone putting a 4.0 ghz chip. On another note, 3.06 is not possible with a 800 mhz FSB. I believe that it runs @ 533. Im interested in the 64-bit part if you find out any information, angler.
