Where to buy Sager Memory upgrades?

Hi, Im going to be purchasing a Sager 5720 and I've searched newegg and crucial and none of those sites has anything for sager, unless Im searching wrong. Crucial doesnt even have sager listed in their dropdown box of computer manufactures. Anyone know where I can purchase RAM for my Sager 5720 when I recieve it. Thanks

I think Crucial lists Clevo models not Sager. At any rate you'd look for notebook memory. PC-4200 533fsb ddr2 I believe its 200 pin.. Newegg sales it.. Ebay sells it..

Clevo=Sager, so if you buy for a Clevo M570A/M575A you are getting mem for Sager. But, like Syn said PC-4200/4300 DDR2 200 pin so-dimm (any manufacturer will work) and you are in business. I suggest Crucial, OCZ, Kingston, Corsair, or Mushkin not in any particular order

Also what is Cas Latency? Thanks

No 4200 & 4300 are excatly the same both 533MHz. As to answer your second question google is your friend, but read this here:
http://www.cooltechzone.com/index.ph...d=377&Itemid=0
or for just the part about cas here you go, although reading the whole article will help:
CAS:

CAS is Column Address Strobe or Column Address Select. CAS controls the amount of time (in cycles (2, 2.5,& 3) between receiving a command and acting on that command. Since CAS primarily controls the location of HEX addresses, or memory columns, within the memory matrix, this is the most important timing to set as low as your system will stably accept it. There are both rows and columns inside a memory matrix. When the request is first electronically set on the memory pins, the first triggered response is tRAS (Active to Precharge Delay). Data requested electronically is precharge, and the memory actually going to initiate RAS is activation. Once tRAS is active, RAS, or Row Address Strobe begins to find one half of the address for the required data. Once the row is located, tRCD is initiated, cycles out, and then the exact HEX location of the data required is accessed via CAS. The time between CAS start and CAS end is the CAS latency. Since CAS is the last stage in actually finding the proper data, it's the most important step of memory timing.

Cool, thanks. Although their 1 gig stick of memory is costly, lol, I found a kingston 1gig stick of memory at newegg for only 83 bucks. Thanks though.

Hey andre, a couple of really good sites related to computer hardware in general (not just laptops) are www.hardocp.com & www.viperlair.com, they generally have links to other sites on reviews, mods, and everything else related to pc's. You can always find something new to read there.

533x8=4264

You can round up to 4300 or down to 4200.
Its all what the maker wants to name it.
