Hibernating with fglrx and debian distro...

Thread Starter
Has anyone been able to have both accelerated Ati graphics drivers and suspend to disk remain functional? I want to start messing with the /etc/hibernate/hibernate.conf script and according to thinkwiki atleast vbetool needs to be enabled, what other options may be required?

Ive tried Hibernating before, and was unsuceessful, I killed my system...

Thanks,
James Morgan

here is the terrible truth. FGLRX does NOT support suspend. I built a custom kernel that supports suspend2 in hopes to be able to hibernate....yeah right. fglrx are shitty drivers and they have a bug in them that will freeze your x when you try to un-hibernate.
