received go 7800 GTX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Page 10

As my SIG below says!!! for 3DMark05 score - btw, I have NEVER overclocked so what you are seeing is stock everything! All I've ever done is uninstall unncessary stuff and turn off certain services that I know will never be needed no matter what...NO REFORMAT! NO REINSTALL! Pure Dell!

you're going to install right away once you get the card? Are you going to apply AS5?
Installing right away... Don't have AS5....maybe down the road when a 7800 gtx cant run anything smooth stock :P

The only thing with a tick next to it is "order processing" on my screen. "pre-production" is clickable, and "in production" and everything else below it is grey.

Anyone's move beyond this?

Well I picked it up from Purolator

They tried to deliver it last friday!!

anyway i got it now.......time to install!

post back here soon

Glad to hear that it came through... I heard from my Dell Friend that some orders are being CANCELLED because they found out about the part that wasn't supposed to be sold being sold! What they do is call you and let you know that there was a mistake and that the part is NOT available...They do issue credit back to your credit card...

I bet it is true. None of the orders have moved from pre-production. Now why would that be, I wonder?
Operation was a complete success! Only had to uninstall nvidia drivers before i shut down and all is sweet....just going to download the dell stock 7800 drivers and try them out.....i'm stoked

reason it took me so long is because i overlooked one of the steps...disconnecting the black and white wires from the back....boy did that cost me time wise hehe....but all is good...

Someone should try calling mark and see what the deal is.

I have not ordered one yet, but trying to.
I e-mailed Mark earlier thismorning but no response yet.
I have called mark 4 times today but he has not answered.
His voice mail still has a message from over the wekend that says he will be back monday at 9am PST.
I have never had luck leaving messages with people at dell so i have not.

Already tried that. He's not there.

Call me a cynic, but why do you think he was so eager to "help" us all out?

I constructed a theory. He gets a ton of "sales," but none of the cards actually ship. So he looks good, and we get nothing.

Anyway, that's my Cynical Bastard Theory.

Watch us all get our orders cancelled.

I wouldnt jump to conclusions just yet...If it doesnt ship by the 9th like I was told, then I would worry.

I'll be even more pissed if it doesnt ship, I already ordered a 9 cell battery and 130watt power brick.

Well, I think that Mark may be busy to return your call at that moment. But my theory is that he might have gotten a talking-to about the part that he was selling...

Like I said, the part that everyone's trying to get is the WRONG part. The actual card will be priced $500USD or more!

I wouldn't be surprised if the reason some people's orders are "stuck" in order processing is because they are in the midst of cancelling them. i hope I am wrong, but I wouldn't be suprised. Sorry to say guys...

I just get a sneaky suspicion that none of these cards will be shipping. I'm amazed that a sticky was made before anyone even received a card!

I'm with you on the being miffed if these don't ship, let me tell you.

The wrong part? What do you mean? It clearly says 7800 in the order status. Why don't you stop being cryptic and tell us something concrete?
