received go 7800 GTX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Page 13

Does anyone know if the Drivers for the 7800 Go GTX from nVidia themselves (www.nvidia.com - 1st party) work on the cards we're getting from Dell? It lists a series of laptop manufacturers but Dell isn't on the list.

How's yours goin man
I'm always with Dell 78.30....i don't have any complaint. Games are pretty great! I thinking to buy Fear this week but i'm kinda broke right now...

Anyways, i don't regret getting a 7800. It's amazing! That's all i can say!

What's the difference between the 78.30 driver and the 81.87..anything new like temp tab?
The stock dell 78.30 are good...i just like having the extra options like colour profiles and yea temp monitoring...they still haven't brought in the new control panel with this release though...hopefully they will soon

My order through Mark though is delayed. Just received an e-mail saying on/before the 16th November. Gah!

Yep...got mine at 9:10. Delayed to the 16th.

Still, could be worse. at least they're not cancelling yet.

Yep, and since Dell have no listed the 7800 Go on their website as an upgrade for the XPS Gen.2, I feel good about ours shipping!

Yeah, but I don't feel good about it's current price - $509.15

Not too bad. We all paid around $480 including tax and installation. $509 + tax for card and install isn't THAT much more.

I will agree though, it's still expensive!

So the price doesn't include tax and installation? Do I have to order installation?
WTF? I was charged only $374.50 after rejecting the install charges...I guess that dude was right about Mark giving us the 'upgrade price' after all...LOL, I guess that's why nobody's card has shipped yet (except the EARLY birds who got it on Nov 1st or something)...Dell is going to cancel our orders, break the deal we made with Mark (thus invalidating the credit program they opened for me specifically to bill the card to), and make us all pay $509 + tax instead! Woo-hoo! Go DELL!
OK $509 price includes the installation
That price is good i rekon. Not much more what ppl have paid.
to those guys who already ordered their 7800 with mark or with whomever.... check out the amount in your account in the dell website ..... Mine increased to 459!!! without installation....... So I called up customer support and emailed them the original order invoice... they put it right back to the original cost.... sneaky sneaky dell
post #258 of 406
Just checked, mine is still same price and ship date as yesterday.

Date of Purchase: 11/8/2005
Estimated Ship Date: on or before 11/14/2005
post #259 of 406
Mine is supposed to be shipping out tomorrow, but I really doubt if that will be the case...there are a bunch of people who called Mark a day earlier than I did, and their cards are supposed to ship TODAY...hopefully, one of them will post on here later in the evening (Nov. 9) saying that they received a shipping email, but DELL also sometimes gets stuff to your door before they get an email out to tell you about it, so...?
I was supposed to have mine shipped today, but I recieved an email from dell saying it will be shipping on or before the 16th. Lets hope that the new date holds true.
