received go 7800 GTX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Page 14

There we go...there is a general delay, then, so no one will be getting anything from Mark likely until at least the end of the month (hopefully before Thanksgiving, though)...at least that's my guess, anyway...

Just an fyi...and I hope it doesn't happen with this deal.

I bought a 7200rpm hard drive from Dell way back when and got a really good deal on it. So good in fact they never shipped it. I just kept getting a "Order delayed" email every three weeks or so. This went on for about six months. I finally called CS and demanded an answer as to why my hard drive kept getting delayed when they showed it in parts as a week ship time. The price now was about $150 more of course. Well they refused to even sell me another drive at my original price unless I bought a flash card with the deal. I finally agreed and I got the stupid thing 2 days later.

Just a way for them to refuse the sale without actually saying "no", which looks bad on their part.

I'm in no hurry for it...so we'll just wait and see. I did notice my Preferred Account was debited the amount though. So it best show up before the bill does.

My order through Mark though is delayed. Just received an e-mail saying on/before the 16th November. Gah!
That's great news. The price is even about what we are paying (when you include the installation which that page says is part of the price). So it looks like our orders might not get cancelled after all (of course now that I've said that they will surely get cancelled).

More than likely, its going to happen to us. If Mark was telling the truth, then ATLEAST 80 of us should get our 7800gtxs. A lot of us ordered early, including me.

Well, has anyone got a hold of Mark, or one of his "helpers" and asked if we are going to get our cards, or what the hold up is?
Mine was also (sadly) delayed until the 16th. Bummer.

Call him, there is a message that explains the situation. It says that the cards should shipped when they state, however, there may be a small delay. It also says due to the call and email volume, you will not hear back from him till 24 to 48 hours. The message is about 2 minutes long or so.

Wow, I didn't know we did this to him....

I just got an e-mail from Dell saying my order was delayed until Nov. 16.

No big deal though. I can wait, as long as they don't change the price.
i'm just messing w/ guys. i'm delayed till the 16th too.
I'm guessing on about the 13th you'll get another notice of delay for two more weeks...so on and so on. Hope it doesn't happen.

Meanwhile, they'll be shipping the cards for customers that paid full pop.
Just got off the phone with dell.ca, the price is still $350CAD plus tax/shipping with an estimated delivery date in 7-10 days. Placed an order so hopefully I'll have one in a week!

One interesting point, the CSR said that as the part is new, the card will fall under the same warranty as my system so I'll still get 3 year complete care with it. Can anyone else confirm this? She didn't even mention paying for install.

Sony, what is your problem? You have such an abrasive attitude here. Why is it your job to prove someone wrong or try to make a point out of someone? If someone is bothering you, why don’t you just ignore it? Is that too hard to do? Grow up.

I just ordered from 18004333-2318 x 9570142.
The price is the same $511 on the website but the CSR will reduce by $60!
No tax in CT with free shipping ($3 handling though) is $453 for card and install kit. Shipping date is the 16th. Oh, and it is for my 9300.
I will post the dell email when i get it to show the install/card breakdown.

Well, if worst comes to worst thats what I'll end up doing too, ordering it from Dell's website. I also had a $100 consession, but I recently used it to buy Quake 4 and FEAR through dell for the 7800 I was hoping to get. Go Figure...

If you're still able to take out the installation cost after getting the card, it will only cost around $430. Not too bad, but not $375 either.
