I HIGHLY doubt we're getting the card for less than what Dell pays for it. I mean the card + install was for sale last week for $509 + tax, where Dell STILL makes a profit. Nobody with a brain in their head buys anything from Dell without a % off. Most of us are paying $484 (or so) including tax for the card/install from Mark. You telling me that Dell is making no profit from us? Stop kidding yourself. Show me some numbers if this is true. What? No numbers? I call shenanigans.

I understand. But sometimes if I reveal where I get some of my info, I may get some people in trouble..that's all.

I promise you this. I will not post anything that is not the truth unless i state that it could be rumour. Good enough?

When the HELL did I ever state that!?!?!? I stated the following:

1. The card currently being sold (even through Mark) are the WRONG PRICE as stated by another user. these prices are for upgrading DURING a NEW SYSTEM purchase.

2. I stated that DELL is aware that some got sold at this incorrect price and is putting a stop on selling it at this price. They already posted the actual upgrade price on their site ($500+) which I also said would be the price range.

3. Some people are upset that their shipments are being delayed...I also stated that this may happen and that there COULD be a chance that all these orders may be cancelled. It is Dell's right to do so considering that the card was not supposed to be sold at that price. Even Mark and his supervisor admitted this.

I could go on but it would pointless as you can't seem to get any facts straights seeing that you have your head so far up your butt WIILLIAMG!


As for those that have their orders for the card I hope you get them. WILLIAMG - I hope yours gets cancelled.....You don't deserve one.

Actually, my dog's sister's aunt said to me that her brother told her that her SON who works directly under Michael Dell told her nephew to tell me that the cards are selling for the correct price. I say so, so it's true.

Dell are NOTORIOUS for cancelling orders which are price mistakes. If you think Dell are losing money on the 7800s, you're an idiot. End of discussion. Dell cancel orders with the snap of a finger. Stop spreading RUMOURS.

Oh, and to pull a Sony311, I reckon Dell will release a new laptop in the next 2 years that will be EVEN FASTER than the XPS Gen.2/M170. You'll see!!

Yes it is understandable the doubt of some because so many post on the basis of how things may go or heresay. It does not matter if some people don't beleive me or not this info I posted was intended for the people who are seriously considering or are serious about this upgrade as I am. And being I have spent so much time I mean numurus hours on the phone with Dell sales people who did not even know this card existed much less how to locate and order it. And just felt compelled to share it with my fellow gamers.

As for the question of is this deal still available? I am not sure but I would recomend calling mark and explain you did not order because of all the doubt and figuired it would be another let down or you thought it was the desktop version and it was just too good to be true somthing like that and ask him what he can do price wize who knows he may be able to help. But on the other hand I was told because I mentioned some canceled their order and reordered it from the acessories site he said that it was going to delay their order further and cost more.

If I am not sure about somthing I will say Im not sure. Or if I don't know I will say I dont know. But Im not the kinda person to blow smoke up someons ass. So for those who dont beleive me thats cool and for those who do and shot me the thanks

The problem is that so far these cards are vapourware to those who spoke to Mark. All that seems to be happening is that the ship date passes, and we get an e-mail stating it's delayed 7 days. Then, after the delay of 7 days, we get another e-mail with another 7 days delay on it. I honestly wish Dell would just cancel these orders if they don't have them in stock, or if it was just a price mistake. I'd rather know it was cancelled right now, then wait a month to FINALLY have it cancelled.

What pisses me off even MORE is that even AFTER a bajillion people have ordered these cards, Dell has the GALL to THEN add the 7800 upgrade on their website! Way to go advertising a product that REALLY doesn't exist at the moment. I find that to be in poor taste. 5-7 days shipping time it says. 5-7 days my left buttock! It said that 7 days ago! Clearly Dell is blowing a lot of hot air.

But hey, who knows, my card really could ship on Wednesday as that e-mail says it will. (Yeah, right)

I just had to chime in and tell you that not everyone is an a@$hole about these sorts of things, I'm mad at dell about the shipping delay.....but I'm one of the ones thankful for your time, effort, and research that got me the information to even get a card on order in the first place. Keep the info coming, some of us actually appreciate it and understand that your just another gamer trying to get his parts like the rest of us.

My Dad had trouble with ordering by phone with Dell once. He got the delayed,delayed,delayed, whoops we made a pricing error you can't have it. It took em about 30 days to decide they weren't going to let him have it.

I just listened to mark's voicemail, and he made a statment like "those of you calling about the 7800 go, we can do the orders...thank god...". Just thinking maybe there was an internal fight and they WERE going to cancel our orders but decided to honor them. Just a thought.

P.S. My 9300 is crying like a baby to get a hold of this card and put it through some benchmarks!!!! Anyone think I can sell my 6800 go for much?

WILLIAMG - What kind of proof do you want?!?! Name it. I am sick and tired of your attitude when all I have ever stated are things that HAVE COME TRUE...What more do you want?!?!

I NEVER stated that DELL was doing this on purpose. All I ever said was that there was an error in selling the card at that price and that when DELL found out about it that they were going to either cancel any remaining orders or would honor certain ones and cancel any others after.

Like I said before -> FOR EVERYONE THAT HAD ORDER THEIR CARDS AND ARE WAITING, I HOPE YOU GET IT. as for WILLIAMG, I hope they send you the DESKTOP version and then tell you to piss off when you complain. Man, I would not want to deal with you if I was an agent at Dell - so stubborn...

Agreed. As for the status of the cards, my inside informant tells me that Dell IS cancelling some orders as we speak. He said that it will beluck of the draw as to whose order they run across, BUT some will make it through...

Well fellow gamers my order was delayed again . I hope Dell isn't blowing smoke up may ass. I was very optimistic throughout this whole ordeal and still beleive mark is giveing me the information which he feels is true but the fact of the matter remains is theese cards are not being shiped out and I will call and try to find out what is going on again I am curious as to why it was delayed again. And just want a straight answer if it will take a month I wish Dell would just say it will take a month and not blow smoke up my ass if that is what happening. So I will post back when I find out somthing further. Man what a bummer but im not giving up or giving in >Damit I want my 7800go LOL

I know, it's crazy frustrating. I wish Dell would just make up their minds what they're going to do. Either ship or cancel the orders already!

I think the general feeling from all of us with cards on order is the same thing. If they will be cancelled, tell us they are cancelled......if's it's going to be a month, tell us a month.......but STOP telling us 6 more days, and then 6 more days again when that comes around! That's the frustrating part.
