hiya Rose5. Shazza made me really laugh out loud with what she said about the Donald Duck costume. I don't usually laugh out loud on stuff I read on the internets, except for:

Oh the humanity...

So Last night I tried to clean up my lappy... defrag, uninstall useless software, update all installed games...and when I turned it on, I found it to be quieter than normal... Checking the exhaust ports, I found no airflow from the gpu port. Pulling the bottom panel off revealed my "worst" fear...dead fan. The part that really pissed me off was when I tried to call AW, I was notified that my warranty had expired...THAT VERY DAY. Looks like I have to make a trip to the local parts house and do some garage engineering....what a pain, and just my luck.

awwww flappy that sucks. but at least your computer hasn't burned up. glad you caught it?

a fan should be pretty easy to fix.

Thanks...it shouldn't be too bad, I just hope the fan accessable on the gpu module. You're right, I'm not sure if I'm glad or not. The real bummer is that I have no hope of upgrading now...stuck with the old MR9600pro. Oh well...

flappy: your system must get hot, eh? all that stuff in such a small package, i'm super happy that you didn't continue to run the system after the fan failed. would have been the end of your motherboard. i'd definatly get that sucker replaced as soon as possible!

Actually, it's not too bad as long as I stay in windows...But I certainly don't plan to run it until I get it fixed.

On the good side...I guess I don't have to worry about voiding a warranty if I want to get it painted.
