ok Dustin, I assume you're being sarcastic here.

What part of "a communist society is bad" do you not understand?

is it the part where the guy that fills up basketballs at your base gym is paid the same as a bullet sponge?

is it the part where the guy with college degree trumps guy with experience EVERY time?

is it the part where insubordination is punished with prison instead of "you're fired"?

need more? i have plenty from my experience.

lots of retarded people have nice pensions too.

So based on your comments, your perception is:

The military is a society of equality (communist) where the Chief of Staff and the guy who drives his car are equal, and should receive equal compensation and have equal responsibility.

The basketball filler (civilian) at the base gym gets paid the same as a military member, with all the same benefits?

Having a college degree means you have no experience, having experience means you can't hack it in college?

Insubordination in a job you wield a thirty-million dollar fighter jet, and in a job where you wield a fry-basket, should have the same consequences.

I think you've made the military clear for me, Jay. Thanks for that.

everybody's experience is different, especially in the military...thats why the saying of....the right way, the wrong way, and the military way came about....my 2years in the reserves, as a medical officer were a joke, a horror story at the quality of medicine I saw...many of those docs could not and did not pass their boards but where is the place you can practice without passing your board certification....the military

I started to hit Mike again since he was one dot from pink before I got though the 6 pages of this thread to the end. When I regen tomorrow I'll be hitting the next person on the list and doing the proper 2 to the pink to orange crowd and rest to green to pink.
I agree, CC should be on the list.

nice twisting of what i said.

1. An E-1 gets paid the same as every other E-1 regardless of profession. That's communism, my friend.
2. The basketball filler I was talking about is enlisted. see #1.
3. Four years of learning about computers does not equal four years of using computers.
4. that may just be the stupidest thing i've ever heard. what world do you live in? the old testament?

I'm certainly wouldn't recommend the military as a life style to other people. "Serve your country," is a statement that makes most people twitch with sarcasm just reading it. However, comments that include descriptions like "communist society" and "bullet sponge" used by someone who apparently has only a vague notion of what being in the military means, simply deserves a measured response.

I've been in seven years now. I'm neither a bullet sponge nor an officer. I work in a network security organization that oversees more than 165,000 military users. That's just for our Majcom. If you honestly believe that 165,000 people are mildly retarded because they are comfortable in the military, then I think you need to carefully limit your exposure to television, based on your ability to separate fact from opinion.

As for the military, I value anyone's service that's into it to serve their country. Unfortunately, I don't really think that's why a lot of people are there.

I never joined, as I couldn't decide whether I wanted to peel potatoes or wash garbage cans. Guess I'm just not a can-do guy.

Rather than attacking our necessary military personel, I prefer to attack those that abuse them, namely chickenhawk republicans that went AWOL, didn't serve in a war they "believed" in, but don't hesitate to send hundreds of thousands of American kids half way around the world to fight a war based on lies.

I have several family members that served, and every one of them has or had a love/hate relationship with the military.
Love/Hate is the very essence of serving your country.

I wont go into the rep system unless someone has a problem with another person and I get a message about it. I dont mess with private areas like that. I wouldnt want to stumble onto any illegal stuff then making myself an accessory to some wild scheme to import underground norwegian lesbo midgie porn. its safer if I stay out here.

congrats alienmomma!! LOL! (nice hammer)
zelly is on deck for tonight/ I wont recharge till about 3am.

Aurora - yes. From the thread that got deleted and from someone else that cancelled their order. He got bombed by the red rash.
Dustin; 7 years? so you must of taken offence at my comment. that must mean you've reenlisted once at least. retard!

i served in the military for 4 years, so I think that entitles me to a pretty accurate depiction of my experience.

i freely admit that i was retarded to join in the first place. but i wasn't going to allow myself to become retarded and make that mistake again.
Actually I haven't reenlisted, Jay, nice assumption, though.

I do apologize, as I mistook your "communist" remark for ignorance about the military. It must in fact have been ignorance about communism itself.
