Been an interesting day....took the motor in for servicing,...... wondered why the headlight washers didn't....apparently the relays for the associated electrics weren't installed, same solution resolved the issue of only half the windscreen defrosting.....kinda glad the relays for important thingys were installed, y'know...abs, esp, headlamps, etc, etc..
