Now that's an idea worth a few rep points, if I had any.

Hey Shazza! I bet the word "petite" is not a word you would expect to find in a post of mine!
lol. I'm just sitting here thinking of a smooth creations layout with a cheese theme that is black and Red all over...

Im still working on the Recording STUDIO. Ive got the walls all framed up and I am wiring the place up now. Im going to be moving all of my systems into the same room so Im putting all of the network wires into the walls and just be able to plug up to 12 systems into the network. I was going to go wireless but seeing how I already have all of the equipemnt I didnt want it all to go to waste. I'll post some of my stuff when its all done. I gotta be careful though. once it hits file share net I lose any chance of making any money. lol.

Aurora; first off, you'll never be completely done with your studio. i have first hand experience in this. there's always something else to fiddle with, something else to configure, install, add, etc. having all your systems in one room seems to make things even more time consuming, at least in my experience.
second, once you *think* you're done with the studio, you'll realize you need to also configure a sound booth or sound isolation chamber! I couldn't get the ground loop / EMF hum to completely disappear in my office, so I play my guitar in the garage.

Reading about jaycat's new babies is making me anxious to see my m5500. Having it sit forlornly in a closet for 2 weeks is almost worse then waiting for it to be built...

Ive been thinking about that. Im not going to go as far as isolation but if I end up in a garage after all this is done I'll still have one hell-uf-a computerized den. I do have a lage closet that could be turned into a sound booth but that will have to come later. I can see that it is something that will never be completely finished but once its done to where I can move everythin in, Im taking a break. lol.

let me know if you need any software! i have quite a collection of VST's and things of that nature.

also, if you have a decent soundcard which supports ASIO, you can find some pretty decent realtime (< 1ms delay) DSP programs. i plan on trying this with my m3200; plugging my guitar into microphone socket, use Buzz machines to add delay, echo, flanging, distortion in realtime software, then outputting through headphone jack to my linux box harddisk recorder.

jay, I'll go through the software I have now and send you a list. maby we can do a swap/share kind of thing. some of these programs are damn expensive. I cant see them sitting on a shelf if they arent being used.
