But I digress, for he delivered one of the best comeback lines to a dumb-ass question ever.

Parent: "So you're the South African boy?"
Luke sighing: "Yes, I am the SA boy."
Parent chuckles: "So I suppose you all went to school on Giraffes and Hippo's and such-like right?"
<Why people think they must ask Africans this hoary age-old question I have no idea....and they assume that we've never heard this dumb-f*ck question before.>

But Luke, with an absolutely straight face ernestly replies: "Oh no, sir! Those were for the rich people only, my dad could only afford a Zebra."

I'll take a Zebra..........

But...and I kid you not...Americans seem to have a fascination with Mount Kilimanjaro..I cannot tell you how many of my wife's colleagues and our friends have asked us if we live nearby or if we could see it from our house or just assuming that we lived close to or on it. Canadians on the other hand always wanted to know about the animals...it seemed like if they saw a program about a deadly animal or poisonous, automatically they assumed it came from South Africa, and we spent our lives ducking and avoiding death by inches inbetween work and home...I always had to categorically deny that it was African...though my denials rang kinda hollow when Discovery Channel showed the documentary "Air Jaws", which was filmed about 7 kilometers from our favourite beaches!

Funny stuff.

Novell will support Netware, the veteran, nay ancient, network operating system, until at least 2015. By which time, presumably everyone who ever used the system will be retired or dead.

since RedFive isn't responding to our attempted ZINGERS, let me add one more...

everyone knows him because he's the country's largest producer of natural gas, and the largest consumer of cheesy snacks. and yes, they are related.
