NYC is crazy today. With the MTA on strike, all public transportation is down. Frickin' cabbies are ripping people off. $10 to get into Manhattan, and an additional $5 to get to different parts/"zones". I had to drive today. Picked up 3 strangers, because of the 4 people per car minimum, and was able to get to work. I even made $30 as they chipped in for gas money, which I didn't really want to take but they insisted. Finding parking was a pain too...

I feel for ya - driving in LA is a major pain in the wazoo - I can't even imagine what it's like in NYC without public transportation.
