im never a fan of the cubicle environment, i find it promotes a level of people feeling a communal ownership of things that is not intentional and doesnt exist.

Don't think of me as your leader. I'm not. So don't expect me to 'lead by example'...you're an adult and should have your own sense of values. I'm quite secure in how I carrry myself on this forum. Given what I deal with from personal attacks for doing such a thankless job I believe I can say I'm quite contained as it pertains to self control. You never see me point directly at someone unless they truly deserve it.

Whether or not you believe it, it is not a right here in the US to post on forums. Clicks in rep threads generate zero revenue dollars for NBF so drawing the 'we make this place happen' argument is null and void. In fact, these threads actaully hurt us in search engine rankings due to their redundant content. Ownership lets these threads live because the community seems to like them...once again they are being grossly misrepresented and attacked for doing nothing but giving everyone a free place to hang out.

Again, I'm not your role model and never will be. That is not the role of moderator. That's the role of your parents and community elders.

I've never directed anything at you directly by name (although you have to me as evidenced here: http://www.notebookforums.com/post2257599-23.html) so anything you've taken personally you've taken on your own accord based of generalizations I've made about certain groups and the way they behave. That is your own burden to bare if you feel guilty of fitting into one of those groups.

I'm ready to move on, as it seems many others are. You are either understanding of the fact I'm not here to impress or otherwise guide you and the way you behave or you are still angy over some 'us vs them' mindset you have with staff. Again...all up to you. I respect your opinions but what you posted in Hammer's thread the other night was nothing but a 'pile on craig' attempt because you felt I was coming down hard on one of your friends. Well he's my friend too and thats why I stepped in to head off his derailment.

Imagine if I had come in here using the words and tone Hammer did the other night? You'd be all over me...but not once did you say to Hammer anything about his tone and choice of verbage.

Be consistent...that's the one thing you can count on me to be. Again, with all respect please understand my position in that I'm tasked with keeping everything and everybody within certain guidelines. It's ok to step out of bounds now and again...but its how we come back as a community and individuals that defines us as members.

Craig if you truly believe everything you just wrote then closure on this topic is the only way to end it.

If these forums generate to revenue... why are there adds here? members clicking on anything.. means MORE clicks.. this is how internet advertising works and is monitored... this means.. more members.. more clicks.. more money... You do the maths.

As for consistancy and personal attacks... You have maintained an "us vs them" mentality since the split. You have used numerous posts to have "just one last snipe" at those ppl, whom we call friends, but are no longer members of this forum. Constantly i have bitten my toungue at this.. but the reference's are there in your posts... whether you mean it or not.

You are a volunteer and you do perform a task on these forums.. one that extends possibly many boundaries and on a much larger scale than the AW section. I dont pretend to imagine the time you put into this.. your commitment to NBF is never questioned Craig...

You said it yourself... a role model should be the parent.. or a community elder.... isnt this a community? arnt you an "elder" because of your rank within this community? by your own words.. that makes you a role model - ie leader... I dont know why you wouldnt think of a mod as a role model within there own forums. Yang is.

But you have clearly put forth in your last post that you are not a leader or role model in these forums.. meaning you yourself must not set a good example with your posts and behaviour. As you have said this... i dont need to bother attempting to rebut.

You have also accused us of linking other threads to add to our apparent cause... have you not done this yourself?

and regarding your link to the OT... how am i supposed to take that other than personal.... i counted 3 ppl who posted in that thread that are located on the other forums you talk about... one is shazza - so she is automatically excluded because her class is above anything on these forums... Of the other 2 ppl i am one of them. (Although funnily enough i dont post on the other forums or really check em out anymore because of the bitterness and negativity.. it sapped the fun out of things). So can you understand how i think you were talking to me..? and how friggin confused i am about it seeing as i did nothing to egg hammer on... and i dont see ANY reference coming from the other forums in that thread... (post the reference? please.. ill shut the hell up then, thats a promise!) i was merely trying to support him in a thread were he was getting pounded on by a bunch of dimwits that didnt understand anything about the issue's he was venting. Yes his manner was not PC... but he was angry... He was furious... and then ppl hanging it on him.. telling him he and his help here is worthless and that they have the top number of posts blah blah blah... mate that was crap and you should know it.
