Sorry for taking so long to answer the what's going on question guys. I am at work so I have to prioritize, as it was I have taken a lot of time to be on the phone with AW. That said, here is where I am at.
I was supposed to get what I have in my sig as the build for my m9700, what I got was the same with these exceptions:
ML37 processor instead of the ML44
XP Pro instead of MCE and no remote or tuner
The standard wireless card instead of the Airgo
2x512 instead of 1x512 (decided to upgrade this myself)
My original config was priced at $3,512.00 I had called in during a promo for a free processor upgrade to the ML44 @ $450 value to reconfigure, so the config in my sig came out to $3,551.00.
They took so long getting my refund processed they canceled my order, after fighting with them to reinstate my order they reinstated the first config instead of the second (my dumb ass didn't confirm the config after the fact). I do however have an email confirming the change of my order before they canceled it.
At this point they are telling me that "I got what I paid for" and in order to get the upgrades I want I have to pay for shipping labor and the parts. All I have gotten out of them thus far talking with supervisors is a 10% discount on my upgrades. So I go from a fully loaded machine @ $3,551.00 to paying $4,078.00 as the upgrades will cost me $566.00 after the 10%.
It was their fault it took so long to process the refund, it was their fault they canceled my order, all I want is what I feel is what the purchase order between AW and myself stated. So their mistake is going to cost me $566.00 more than expected if I choose to take the offer.
I personally think they should take the machine back, make the configuration changes for the $39 between the original order and the reconfigured order, since I would have gotten what I wanted if they hadn't f'ed up and canceled my order in the first place.
This descision is supposedly between a supervisor in the Tech Support, Customer Support and Sales departments.
