Yes, there is.
You can try installing a program that would allow it, there are various out, but there is another "1337" method without having to install anything on Windows XP:
You will first need to plug the two monitors to the computer and span the view across both monitors, this will not work on clone mode:
- Right click the Windows desktop, then select Properties.
- Locate the Desktop Tab and click on it.
- At the bottom of the Desktop Tab click the Customize Desktop button.
- In the Desktop Items window that just popped up go to the Web Tab.
- Click the New button on the right of the window and select the secondary wallpaper you wish to put on the second monitor.
- Select OK, then select OK again on the Web Window and Apply on the Desktop Window. The selected wallpaper picture should be on the main screen.
- Drag the image over to the other screen by selecting the top of the window, pretty much like dragging a standard window, and select Cover Desktop at the top left of the image.
Right click and select Arrange By and then "Lock web items on desktop." Then you can simply select a standard desktop image for your primary display as you always have. The web object (secondary wallpaper) on the second monitor will remain as the "main" wallpaper image while the first monitor will display the image you just selected.
Hope this helps.
