Something is definitely wrong here... - Page 3748

... this was my last shot of a verrrry long day. I didn't have my glasses on (and too tired to go get them), so had to guess on the focus - but not too bad. One more 5am day, and then we go home on Friday. I may never shoot another flower pic again!

And ... UPS finally owned up to having lost my husband's luggage. He's a grumpy bear this week, not helped by falling down today while fording a stream ... saved the camera but his shin is the size of a log! This waterfall/wild flower safari is dangerous stuff.

I can imagine that you're pretty anxious to be getting home, and is your hubby too. You can just tell him, "see whatcha get for dragging me out here to see wildflowers."

Hope he didn't fracture anything.

And here I thought fishin was a dangerous sport (long story ). Hope the husbands leg is ok and you two had at least a lil fun up in the hills.

Yeah weird thing about fishing, I was fishing with my bro and cousin (the rod was practically broken) and when we were going back, I accidentally stepped on the hook and now the hook is stuck in my shoe laces. But I kinda keep it there because it gives me something to do during school.

Shazz - I wish I had known you were going to be in this area (my mistake if you posted it earlier).

My wife and I are up there 2-3 times a month, along with lil' Chloe and Shelby.

Chloe's first trip; Shelby making sure the water is just rite...

Some of the local water features - close to home:

Oh man, this present is gonna be good stuff. I can snatch all my Dad's records and use the record player usb thingy to put all the music on the computer. (seeing as how I have a 1' stack of records and that's not even a quarter of them, this may take a while.) I'm thinkin Boyd might be wantin a gander at them when I figure out what's all there.

Howdy aliens

Sounds cool Speedde. I want one of those devices myself. I have hundreds of albums that date all the way back to 1917. (The kind that are played on Victrolas.)

I'll let you know how this one works out. First I need to move a few things around and set the player up. Probably take until tomorrow to really get started. But the oldest I have to do is some 78s.

Thanks. By the way, what type of record converter device do you have? (What Brand?)

Ion. I'm not sure how good it is, and I don't want to look it up because I don't particularly want to see the price. But with the adjustments it has for the counterweight and anti-skate, it looks pretty good on paper anyways.

Thanks. I'll have to keep that in mind when the time comes to convert all of those albums.

In for a "touch and go".

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm off to bed. 12 hours on campus today took it out of me... computer science mid term is next Monday....
