I was able to repair my HP laptop that I thought was dying.
I am saving up money to make the purchase.
We are considering buying a new house, so resources are being diverted to that.

We are trying to fix up our current place and see if we are able to sell it.
If not we will rent it out until things improve a little in the market, but now is the time to buy and we may not get a better chance than now to move up to a house from our PUD.

the market has softened a little up here too, which just basically means its almost reasonable prices now instead of absolutely insane. time to buy for sure though.

good luck with selling and hopefully you can be movin on up

Got the new Los Lonely Boyz - Forgiven CD Today. Great album! Every song is excellent. The last tune " The Way I Feel" just began...

The cover of "I'm A Man" really caught my ear, Henry really has a Robin Trower sound on this one.

Thanx for the heads up shazza, we love it already. Oh, a band autographed front CD insert came with.

This might spark MB's interest... just integrated Google's recent iCalendar file sync support into lightning (sunbird for thunderbird). Now I can sync my calendars together!

hey guys... just dropping by to say hi, had a bit of an accident today while helping out on one of my parents sites with little things. ended up losing a large chunk of finger nail from both of my thumbs. the bleeding as stopped mostly but the pain remains and its now unpleasant to type.

I'm trying to imagine the construction mishap that would chop some off of both thumbs and apparently nuttin' else?

Just kidding you mang...what really happened?

i was helping prep some chairs to go into a site that was just being completed as well as supervising all the little finishing touches for the customers. they needed to have the stupid felt bits on the bottom of the feet replaced before being put on the new hardwood (gotta be nice to a floor that cost 30k) and that meant that the old bits needed to be removed.

here we encounter the problem, what should have been a fast job was not. it required the use of sharp tools to remove the old ones and in doing so i slipped, taking a (smaller though painful and bloody ) chunk out of the nail on my right thumb. the thing is that i was almost done and i figured i could tough it out to get the last chair done. however being distracted by the bleeding and pain i managed to slip again taking a (much larger) chunk of the nail off my left thumb.

the result of this is several lessons, never use sharp tools for things they are not designed for, and after one injury cease doing what caused it. the other result is that its gonna not heal fast and i had to buy extra bandaids as my right thumb has a habit of bleeding through them.

also i now can more accurately imagine what its like to have your finger nails pulled off as a form or torture, not recommended.

and yes before anyone is a smartass i do realize that it doesnt technically count as construction since i wasnt building anything but calling it a decorating accident sounds pathetic

Nah, that's cool man, you still have 8 fingers to hang all the curtains!!!
