Maybe some pix by the weekend, Leroy

Morning AW.

Hello AW.

I had quite the eventful day today. One of my subordinates mouthed off to me and I had to put him back in his place. Afterwards, he mouthed off to the instructor. He might not get those orders to England after all...

74% on my calc test yesterday and physics didn't go any better this afternoon. Too much material, too little time.

I know how that feels on the education front, man. Just give it some time...it'll come!
and a "good evening" to everybody else...reps out...

Hi h1tman. And, @BFisch ... 74% doesn't sound so bad - do you need higher than that to keep your overall average up?

Sounds like ol' mb is in the midst of controversy. Assume it will all work out.

84 is the requirement I need to keep my job. 80 is the school's requirement. There will be more tests and the final exam, but this one shoulda been higher...

Found out the class average for that test was a 72. Guess she'll curve the final grades.

I hope those notes helped some. I may not remember the details of the classes, but if you need help I should be able to point you in the right direction.

Hello AW.

Man, what a tough day it turned out to be. No fights, but it was a heck of a lot of work in a short amount of time...

Well, to begin with, this entire final block of the course is a practical exam. We have to "deploy" to the field with five of the major communications packages, set them up in under an hour, and get bombarded with challenging scenarios that force us to think quickly. We started out the first couple of days with all 8 of us working together to set up and tear down the equipment, then the last few days have been where we are broken up into two teams of four and we both have to complete the same tasks in under an hour - In essence, with half of the work force.

Cool! Practice makes perfect, soundz like teamwork is crucial. But why do I have a feeling they may break it down into one person before its over with...?

I thought we were gonna gets some tasty tidbit about that insubordination thang.

Oh that? It was a typical situation of young people arguing about stupid things, instead of working to complete the mission. The way they were going at it,I thought fists were going to fly. Anyway I stepped in and tried to put a stop to it, they ignored me, and kept at it. I then turned up the heat and ordered them to stop. the one kid stopped, the other told me "No, I'm not going to f*ing stop". I then got in his face and said you will stop right now or else. He replied: "I don't f**ing have to listen to you!". I then grabbed him by the ear and dragged him over to the instructors area, and reported the situation. He then tried to cop an attitude with the instructor, which made the whole he just dug that much deeper. He wound up getting into a whole lot of trouble.

Hee, hee, hee. What the NAV calls XO's Mast? That's where the charges brought are reviewed by #2 to see if it warrants bothering the Old Man with it, if not just deals out the punishment. If one goes to XO or Cap'ns Mast, at least back when I was in...it was a done deal guilty...just a matter of levels of stripes/xtra duty/dock of pay/restriction to base.

I saw a few of those the first coupla years in the USN...then I learned how to play the game. Those boots should be sucking up to your experience instead of fighting. They may learn a thang or two from the Ol' Bastid, erm I mean mb67.

Yep --- I knew I had turned into my mother when I grabbed a teenager by the ear and said "Now, listen here, young man" !!!

Happy Friday, all.

Hee, hee, hee. I'm old enough to remember the threat of that action happening at any minute back in the sixties/early seventies! Had me checking all the time.

Nowadaze...what if I took the lil' bassid trespassing on my lawn by the ear to his momma (why must it be a 'he' ) and then what...a threat of calling the police for the ear tweaking action? I don't need no heat rite now... :lil SoB's gonna feel the sting of Leroy's sprinkler system on their backs keep messing with me!!!

I Guess I'm Just Not Knowing...
