Hello, mb! Are you enjoying being back in civilian life?

@Fidget ... don't really have too many complaints about the remodel project. We used the same folks who built the house 15 years ago, and they have gone above and beyond in many areas. Of course, now I don't want to go back to Arizona

All right, quick post after a week or two missing:

1- Been busy as heck with classes.

2- I've been completely 4chanized. Kawaii desu ne!!! ^_^
(not good)

3- Initial setup of print shop with a couple of friends. Hands full of ink.

4- Desktop computer died, I'm down on troubleshooting possibilities to either the power supply or the motherboard itself.

5- Laptop hard drive seems to be going the same route as the desktop computer.

6- Too much junk food this week, feeling like

7- Profit????

Debating whether or not to get a dSLR camera instead of a Blu-Ray player...

Go with the dSLR. Love mines...2 cents.

I'd say the same . BUT, that's comin from someone that has the blu player and not the DSLR. Sure do need me a good cam though.

nice pic.... wouldnt mind reading the morning paper there thats for sure. if thats what is coming out of the remodel you are getting what looks like quality work. i am a bit on the opinionated side about it all because i see good and bad work on it so much. i see the results of people who cheap out or get shit contractors and i see the quality workmanship that good guys do as well.

I am leaning towards the dSLR. I found my digicam but discovered that it was on it's last leg. I shouldn't gripe about it, as it was a very inexpensive point and shoot and a gift on top of that...

my vote goes DSLR as well... i am starting to really want one as well, they are cool, and i just want to be able to take better photos

I agree- I too want to take better pictures. The digicam I had was a 3.1mp point-and-shoot, and it was really annoying having to wait 3-5 seconds to take another pic. Forget taking night shots...

Morning all.

Yep ... I've really started to enjoy photography more since I moved into a DSLR. I don't think you can go wrong with either the new Canons or Nikons ... lots to choose from.

@Boyd ... you're right. Florida feels like home to me, although Arizona is nice. I just prefer the humidity, plus most of our friends are here.

i still like the current gen sony DSLR's... feel in my hand is better than the canon, and the nikon sadly seems to be priced alot higher here than the canon and sony models that are basically equal. plus i like not having to buy specific IS lenses just to have the feature.

I have a sony 10.1 megapixel DSLR camera... it works really good for pictures...

Hello. Windows 7 recognizes my network printer, and seems to play nicely with my software. Here is a screenshot of the O/S desktop:
