Not buying in the the next coupla weeks, but I can't help but shop. Amazon is $2.50 cheaper for an i7 920, $5.00 cheaper on OCZ3X1600LV6GK PC3-12800 and $17.00 cheaper on EVGA 132-BL-E758-A1 LGA 1366 Intel X58. When did Amazon start beating out Newegg on PC desktop parts?

Must buy a modest 32" LCD TV in the next week or so. Really want the Toshiba Regza 32CV510U, but it's $499. Would pounce but that dang AOC Envision L32W761 for a hunnerd less is looking purty good. The Toshiba I believe is worth the extra, but Ima cheap hogg...just need an everyday bedroom TV. Anybody know of the best deal out there rite now for a 32" 720p?

Just did a quick search at Amazon ... I'd also say the Toshiba is worth the extra dollars. And, agree at 32", 720p is plenty.

I've noticed Amazon has pretty good prices on PC components these days ... especially after stuff has been out for a little bit.

The advantage of you not doing a major upgrade for a while is you can get the i7 stuff for not much more than core 2 now. Definitely worth it, imho.

Damn you Apple! We got an old Powerbook from my uncle, and we need to upgrade the RAM. We went to the Apple store and they told us "Go online at our website." We go on, and it says "We currently do not have any memory for this model." Whatever. But I guess thats good, because Mac memory is super over priced when you buy from Apple.

Mac-compatible memory can be found on Newegg.com. A great source for all kinds of things.

boom - what memory are you looking for. I have some older stuff lying around that might work.

Well, GM suspended their co-op program today, so 103 of us at what used to be General Motors Institute are without a co-op job effective immediately. Bad news when you have to complete 4 co-op terms after your junior I term to qualify for graduation.

At least it was fun while it lasted....
