so in other words the tix are incredibly expensive? or you just want scantily clad women to feed you?

Howdy all ... thank the Good Lord it is Friday.

Actually on a little 3 day excursion to Sedona ... but we've yet to leave the room after eating a large breakfast and a nap!

TGIF then huh? I hope you have fun.

BTW did you ever go to Kwajalein or the Marshall Islands when you were down in Australia?

Both!

Not quite sure who's all gonna be at Crüe Fest 2. Not a huge fan of Motley Crüe. Last time I saw 'em they had the 'chick' drummer. Was she from Ozzy's band? I don't know, she was good, but I understand they will have Tommy back on drums this tour.

Megadeth stole that show. They didn't have a whole lotta of stage glitz, go-go dancers etc...just came out and jam'd. Didn't think I was a Megadeth fan either until that event.

Paid the big bucks for Godsmack, the rest will be gravy...

...rib-eye's coming off the grill shortly, great deal at H-E-B (regional grocery store here in the New Republic of Texas). I likes my steak on the well side.

"breakfast and a nap" she said. I loves to take me a lil' nap myself on Sunday mornings. Wake up maybe 11'sh, scarf the sirius breakfast w/grits. Ya' see, about that time, "This Old House" comes on the tube. After that the good ol' "New Yankee Workshop". Norm's alwaze good to put me out for a few more hours...

Kwajalein Island is pretty cool, albeit a lonely place. They are like a family, 1200+/- total on the island and they all look out for each other. The diving is really good I hear by the way. There are some recreational things to do, as well as some off-island locales in the vicinity to visit.

Thanks MB. I take it you've been there? If you have, I may have more questions soon. (Hopefully )

Hi, Speedde. Nope, we never made it to the Marshall Islands while in Australia. We spent our travel time touring Australia itself ... just wish we would have had longer and been able to explore farther afield.

Hi all. Just back from dinner ... last night visiting Sedona, Arizona. For those of you that don't know, this is supposed to be one of those "mystical, magical desert places." Our experience has not been all that ... awakened two mornings in a row by trash truck pick-up at 4:30am (not such a good thing when staying at a supposed 5-star resort )

The town is very commercial, and is torn up with construction, so impossible to get anywhere. Needless to say, we have not felt the stirring of the "vortex," but have nonetheless had a fun weekend away. We found a little Italian restaurant that served real food, and not the gluten-free vegetarian fare seemingly favored by most here !!!

Notice how we talk about food here allot.

Wonder what's for dinner? I'll be starvin like Marvin here shortly...

Sorry to hear Sedona wasn't the 'Carlos Castaneda' kind experience for y'all. Soundz like ya's had fun anyway. Have a safe trip home. Hope you don't have to go back to work tomorrow. Alwaze sux, Monday morning, after an excursion. I guess Tuesday would be just as painful though...

I wish I could take tomorrow off, but noooo. Think it may be a 14 hour day, loves the payday tho'...

BTW, tridge made me laugh out loud with his reply.

And I also want to prepare people for a rep reset. Yes we're resetting rep and everyone will go back to default rep as if you just joined the forum. We feel this is the best way to make rep mean something as well as start from scratch from a site that is pretty much completely redesigned. It's a whole new site, so lets give rep a whole new meaning.

We are also enabling it so you can see who possy or neg reps you. No more f@@kwoosters (although that term will still define the lowest possible negative level) and now you can give possy rep to people who are helpful and neg rep people who are flaming trolling. (watch out Darq and JinxEd)I think the new site will make people forget about the rep system entirely, and allow the community to thrive on some very awesome features and information.

We are also not going to have ads on the new site for about two weeks until we get the bugs and glitches out. Then we'll be adding them back in over time.

guys... keep in mind that this doesnt change anything really here, ultimately its more about talking and the friendship than about a little dot. that said im not happy about it. though it will effect everybody equally (just us more since we played the game). with how much we have done and the system in place we can easily still reclaim our positions from the past if we really want them.

please keep in mind that neither i nor anybody else (to my knowledge) was consulted about this change since the last time this issue raised its head. while i dont really like it and i think we should have some recognition from the past ultimately this is one I dont think i can change. it has clearly been made by the admins and has the support of the ownership of the site. what has gone on in the past is the past, and although its frustrating we cannot live in the past.

please guys.. lets keep this constructive and make this into a new opportunity that it really is. we can now grow credits and reps... something new to play.

ALSO PLEASE NOTE:

THERE IS RECOGNITION COMING in as a part of the incoming commerce system (which will be used to give a real use for credits, finally). This will give some recognition to those with long term involvement in the rep game. i would ask that you please ensure that you have posted appropriately in the hitlist thread in the off topic section so i can keep track and also so we can have a consolidated and central conversation on this issue and so i can forward things on to those with some power to change things.

Took long enough...I guess when it was threatened a long time ago and everybody was up in arms, the powers that be stepped back and noticed it wasn't quite ready. So why the drama back when...ooops.

Be fun to start all over again. Wonder if the banned people will still be banned...? If it's been spelled out, sorry for the dumb question.
i think some of the bans may remain... others i think will have gone.

no question is dumb.

Well that sux, with a 'virtually new site'? Other than that, I have nothing negative to say, I embrace change...hee, hee, hee.

Hope it goes smoothly or will a parallel NBFs run in case the new one crashes for a few daze? "Dammit, stay positive Boyd. Can't be as bad as Obama's 1st fiddy, let's get it in perspective".

Well we've decided on fried shrimp, fried clams, hush puppies and french fries. Now all that needs to be done is to buy it and cook it (well fry it)...got some homemade cole slaw from yesterday...
