I haven't been as busy as you mb67, but purty busy. Swung by the PMB after hours and saw a bunch of notices to 'come to the counter'. Ima gonna tries to swing by in the morning, since I start work late tomorrow. I think the 1st notice was a coupla weeks ago!

Not every day I hope. Weekend off this go round?

I'm definitely kicking back this weekend, had to work last weekend. Check was decent though...so justa minor whine with them crackers.

Finally got me one of those GPS car/mobile receivers. http://www.amazon.com/Magellan-RoadM...pr_product_top Well, I just clicked out anyway.

The boss man is getting himself a laptop stand for his truck and me one for my service van. http://www.jottodesk.net/

Still debating on which inverter to get, I'm leaning towards Tripp Lite 700W unit, about as large as my alternator will supply under a full load. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...X0DER&v=glance

Now the final piece to the service van puzzle would be a decent/rugged portable printer/fax. That one has stumped me.

Y'all have any suggestions on a good car inverter or portable fax/printer?

Hehe, goin for the mobile workstation . If you get the laptop stand you don't have to have that gps unit. Could just use a usb gps receiver ? Not near as mobile though (or as cool). I use one (usb gps that is) while out on the road with gr2analyst weather software and it works great on the lil laptop. Prolly be usin it morrow to look for some land-spouts round the back 40.

That's a bigger inverter than I use, you takin the predator with you on the road or what ? Tripplite has always been a good ups for me in the past. Can't magine you'd have any trouble with that brand.

Any good storms today for ya? Seen a couple good lines move through Houston today but only seen one hail report on the northwest side of town. Looked nice on radar though.

Did think of that. Actually just started out with the laptop desk and it has shroom'd!!! Was thinking at 1st, on getting a 2500W inverter/charger and throw a few batteries in the back. Damma hurricane!

Got spooky around 16:00...haven't seen that many clouds high and low ina while. I parked behind the building I had an 18:00 call at and the hail lulled me to schleep. Fire Marshal woke me up tapping on the window.
