We're fine, Leroy is a whole nutter matter.

Just in from a day/nite in Galveston, stayed in a friend's Condo at the The San Luis.

Kindy soggy out there, skeeters as big as your head. The Ol' Lady gonna start the grill here shortly...

You should be waking up from the after lunch nap about now...

Hi there, BFisch ... glad to see you're still hitting the books!!! Everything going okay with school? I know this is a tough time in the auto industry.

Leroy's grilling giant 'skeeters ?????

Hey, moidock - anymore news on the flu in your area?
Only four confirmed cases which have already been taken care of.

There are about 266 suspected cases but most of them were just regular flu cases and some are still pending analysis. It doesn't really help when this kind of thing lets loose during regular flu season.

Well - stay safe, 'dock. It's hard to weed out the serious threat from the panic - even have schools closed in the Phoenix area.

GL finding the ceegar box - you know she likes to make you hunt for it

We in the United States need a get around car on the market. You know rite lane of the freeway type car. One that can get 40MPG + around town and sticker is less than $8,000 w/AC standard, no other frillz.

Where did that come from? I think I know, was watching PBS MotorWeek this morning, and kept thinking how out of touch the industry is for the average person.

Would likes to haves me a new Black 2SS Camaro w/RS package and the 6 speed tapshift control for the weekend car tho'...the Ol' Lady gets the Hugo...

Tough times in the Auto Industry indeed. GM cut their co-op program back in February and I've decided to transfer schools. No more Michigan for me! It's back to the Blue Ridge Mountains in beautiful Virginia! Trying to decide between sticking with mechanical engineering, or switching to applied physics or material science & engineering. Regardless I won't be returning to the automotive industry - I've set my sights on forensic engineering, which is a broad field itself.

Sounds like a plan, BF ... while the auto industry will come back, you might as go with something a bit more general so you have more options. AND ... being closer to home should be nice.

Wishing you all the best - I'm sure you'll come out smelling like a rose!

Thanks Shazza! This will certainly make planning my wedding a lot easier. Can't believe it's only a year away...

Kudos to you, BF, for the upcoming wedding, and I'm sure both of you are glad to end the long distance part of the relationship.

Midnite finds me sleeping...

About to click out on a 4400 Watt peak, 3500 Watt rated portable gasoline generator. Sold mine a coupla years ago, will never do that again. Gonna go ahead and get a 20' 30 Amp generator cord, 30 Amp gen cord plug-in box, manual 60 Amp transfer switch and pre-wire everything to the service panel at the house this time. Plug it in, plug it in. Even in the dark during a hurricane aftermath Leroy could do it. Load management is the key...

Was thinking on just making up a "suicide cord" and plugging the generator into the clothes dryer receptacle in an emergency and killing the main breaker. The extra coupla hunnerd may save lives though. Dam lives costing me money...

Speaking of "Time is money"...

Was lazy all weekend and just Today got around to piecing together the install of the inverter in the service van. Spent a half a day driving around to Gander Mountain, Northern Tools and Equipment, Home Depot, Lowes and even an electrical wholesaler then to a cable supplier and still couldn't get all the rite stuff.

Spent about 15 minutes this evening online and ordered all I need from Amazon. 10' 4AWG inverter cables w/chassis ground lead, ring lugged on one end, tinned on the other with protective connector boots, ANL fuse block and a coupla ANL 125A fuses. It was fun actually walking down aisles and touching stuff for once though...

Wait - Is Leroy saying you can still go out and shop??? Amazing!

I kid... but seriously it is funny you spent all day walking around and then 15 minutes online got you everything you needed.
