I moved over from the commercial service side of our company to the industrial/marine special hazards side this week.
Was fairly painless, but I'm still not used to a 2 hour task taking 4-8 hours to complete. Everything is safety to the max and documented, permits, authorization for this, have a meeting over that. The ships and plants are dangerous places so I understand and the cost is built in...I just have that commercial 'get in fast, do it fast and get out fast' mentality still. Won't take me long to lose that though.
