No doubt about that.

With my little wire dipole antenna an 10 watts using a Difitla interface with my computer I been able to make contacts all around the world.
I had a dipole setup at one time as well. It was neat communicating w/people around the world, as long as the atmospheric conditions were right. (HF) UHF/VHF was a lot of fun as well. I at one time was going to build a 100' tower in the back yard and set up an antenna, but the hassles of community development restrictions, etc prevented that from happening.

Here's a cheesy photo of us setting up a 40' tactical telescoping antenna made out of aluminum.

I used to love that kind of stuff and I guess I still sort of do, but this weather thing I'm doing now is pretty darn cool. Speaking of which, I passed my last written exam w/ a 90%. For the rest of the course, the exams will be practical application- 'satisfactory' or 'unsatisfactory'.

I still have to work hard for it though. The kids in my class hardly do any studying, and they all have 95+% averages. I'm ranked 3rd from the bottom with a 90% average overall.

It's nice getting things done quickly- It means that I can move on to other tasks efficiently.

By the way, my dslr camera deal fell through, so I'm still on the lookout for the one I want. This will delay my review of the M15X, as I don't want to post crappy 1.3 megapixel camera phone pics.
