First of all, I have a Sager w/ the Radeon 7500 64Mb.
The Bios I have is: 1.0.1.0b-T1

My old CPu was a P4 2.0A and I just slapped a 2.5 533fsb Northwood in.
Problem is that I'm still runnning 1.9Ghz according to windows. Basically at 400fsb (from what Sandra tells me). Now when the machine boots, the processor is listed at the right speed on the screen. Once in windows it's slow again.

Also put in 2x DDR333 256mb modules in to replace the single DDR266 512 chip I had (got mem for free).

Is it windows? Or is the bios goofy?
Thnx!

You need to find the correct 4oofsb proc to run at that speed. On post the bios asks the chip what it thinks it is and reports that not the speed it's actualy running. as to the memory I'd put back the 512 and run one of each inthere that is not a DC-DDR simply DDR. You will get no benefit from from the two 256s. That machine is incapable of running at 533FSB.

Thats messed up. i845 says it's supposed to do 533fsb. How about USB 2.0? Does the machine have the ability to run high speed usb?
