You have got to be kidding me! Why wasn't this available when I got my 5500??

Hi everybody, it has been forever since I have posted here but I was just checking out the Alienware site and the 5500 is back, and a lot different! Take a look:

http://www.alienware.com/Configurato...de=SKU-DEFAULT

That is great, a Pentium M (no more over heating) and the hard drives are twice the speed with twice the capacity!. Is that a PCI-E card for the 5500? I can't tell if it is or not, it doesn't say what it is. That and it is thinner than what I have now, oh it has only been a year since I bought mine, and they came out with the 7700 a month after I got my 5500. They had better offer some kind of upgrade to let those of us who pretty recently (within the last year or so) get ours up to par. I love my 5500, don't get me wrong but i am getting tired of it constantly over heating and shutting down and if I could get a upgrade to PCI-E mobo and a 100gig 7200 harddrive I would be more than happy to pay for it. It would be really cool to if we could upgrade to a Pentium M 780 (runs cooler and better). Please AW, tell me that you will make my dreams come true

Oh and did I say that they up'ed the resolution to 1980x1200!!!!!!

I know I can't put it in my system now, that is why I would like the mobo upgrade.

It's a nice looking machine and I'm glad that they released it. I planned on a 7700 next summer but will seriously consider the 5500 as an alternative.

The chasiss is different, the motherboard will not fit. The only option is to buy a new system.
