A Question from another mac Noob.

Hey Guys,

I have couple of questions:

1) How can one tell if there is a problem with Mac OS?
2) Ever since I upgraded to a latest Mac Release/Update 10.4.3 Computer seem to be "draging" and "beach-balling"
As if the processes are bogging down the memory. However, there is enough memory... 2 GIG and I have repaired all permissions on the disk numerous times. Its a 1 GhZ Powerbook.

Thanx in Advance.

1) Like with any other os: when it starts behaving unexpectedly.
2) There have been problems like this reported with 10.4.3. Try doing the combo upgrade which replaces more files than the delta available in Software Update. I never do the deltas anymore, myself.

which upgrade did u use? i used the combo and got some pretty flaky results. did a reinstall of OS X and the combo, from 10.4.1 and now it's peachy. i've actually had better luck w/ doing the intermittent upgrades, which i delete after i install them, and keep the combo onhand for what just happened. this time around i had forgotten to use the intermittent one.
