Hey gang,
I'm thinking of picking up a Thinkpad while I wait for the next generation of A64 lappies to emerge and get real world tests. I plan to snag a cheapo(used/refurbed) off ebay since I can get them there for under $700. I'm considering either A30/A31 or T30 possibly T40. I've been looking at the Lenovo support pages for these models and find the information to be incomplete. For example what's the difference between the A30 and the A30p? How big a harddrive does the bios support? If it was a celeron to begin with can I just drop a P-M in it? I see alot of them were P3-M(A30/31 and T30) machines originally but are now running P4-M, are these special MB revisions or can I put a P4-M in any of these?
basically I guess I'm asking for a source of information that hasn't been pushed through the marketing machine...
Thanks
