Call of Duty 2 - Strangest Thing

I am running Call of Duty 2 on the Ferrari 4005. The entire Russian campaign plays great. When in the British campaign, the Germans are invisible. I can see muzzle flashes.. and die... but they are not there. If I kill one, then their weapon drops and the corpse of a white guy shows up on the ground... naked except for a pair of bright blue shorts. I'm totally puzzled... anyone else seen this?

What the hell? Can you take some screenshots? I'm on the American campaign and have seen nothing like that.

OK I never played this game but to me it looks like you have a modded version of the game.

The game is not modded, it is a standard install off of a retail CD. Totally weird though. I'm going to get another copy from a friend in a few days and then I'll see what that one does.

I had another problem...
I was at what I assume was near the end of the British campaign, I was running behind some tanks at some trenches when my 4005 suddenly rebooted.

Then when I went to continue, my save game where gone.... so I have to start all over again... havent bothered yet.
Great game though, I just dont feel like going back to the beginning.

Strange thing is happening to my 4005 when playing COD 2. A blue screen shows up for 2 seconds and than reboots my computer when i play the game. It doesnt happen constantly but occasionally. Anyone else have this prob?

same here with the rebooting problem. i found thread on this forum that says we should revert back to using the default driver for the graphic card that came with the Ferrari. I haven't try it coz that will surely slows down other games like F.E.A.R.

what ever you do do not I repeat do not use omega's driver.

i'm using the official catalyst 5.10 from ati. i used DHmod tool so that i could install it on my Ferrari. But still, the problem persist.

Hey, what? why? Thats what Im using and I did get that blue screen and *poof* reboot.

Never had a similar problem before so I figured it was a flaw in the game.

Anyways, you other people that also got 'booted' did you lose your save game aswell?

I already had a post about this. All you have to do is use the original Acer drivers that came with your system and you'll have no problems. It only occurs on certain levels, like the El Daba level in the British campaign.

I agree use defaults newer is not always better and there the only ones that seem to work right.

Omegas drivers sucked you lose some functions of the card and it ran really slow worst drives I have ever seen DO NOT USE.

What about with the updated mobility drivers? Same problems?

I've never had problems with ATI's drivers (not Omega's), but I don't play COD2.

is he playing a joke on us?

The only way without the blue screen than a reboot is if I revert the game to dx level 7.0.
The other option suggested reverting back to the ati drivers that came with ferrari is not an option for me :P
Hopefully I will find a solution sooner or later.
