XPSGen 2 Speakers?

I just notice something weird on my XPSG2...is it normal that my right speaker has less bass than the left one? Maybe i'm just crazy!

I,m just afraid that i did something without knowing it when upgrading my GPU...

Well the bass comes from the subwoofer which is slightly off-center.

When I game, I notice my wrist somewhat covers the left speaker duing my WASD use, so maybe that's the reason for it? Other than that, during normal use - don't notice any difference.

yeah i know that subwoofer is near the left speaker but the sound is kinda different...i dont know how to described it! There's definitely less bass on the right speaker! Maybe it was already like that before!

Sigh... if you don't like those speakers put on a external speakers or headphones.

I happen to really like the built-in speakers, they are very good for what they are.

I'm currently looking into splicing some custom Bose speakers to replace the factory speakers. Not that they're bad - I just want them to be better. =)

why the right one has a bump on it? I'm not sure it's because of that! Anyways, i'll call Dell on Monday for a new one...do i need to send the damaged one to Dell?!

Is the right speaker really defective if you look at the picture? I'm pretty sure it wasn't like that before because the sound was pretty good from both speakers. What could have caused this? I called technical support this afternoon and a technician will contact me soon.

I hope mine is not like that...

What's the UK number for the Dell XPS2 tech dept?

I tried emailing Dell with a similar fault and they just haven't replied.

TIA

damn just spoke with tech support and they told i had to send my laptop back to Dell to get it fix! I told him that i'll never send it back and prefer to buy the part. I decided to call spare parts and it was a very nice lady...she called tech support for me and Dell will finally send me the part and i could install it myself but if i brake anything it will void my warranty!

replaced my speakers today! My laptop is perfect now!

Are we supposed to return defective parts back to Dell? The guy over the phone didn't tell me anything about returning the part back to them. And yes it has a return slip inside inside the box. I'm asking because when they sent me a Resource CD that i didnt get with the system this summer for my desktop...it has a return inside as well

So i was just wondering if i should send it back or keep it!
