All,
For the last few weeks, videos and mp3s played back on my Z71v have not had "good" audio. I couldn't find anything in particularl amiss with DirectX or any hardware, but nonetheless there would be a slight jump/jerk in the audio roughly every second of video or mp3 playback. Something was busted.
But everything is now back to normal, after I updated some drivers as follows:
1. installed wireless_9.0.2.1_-_generic_TIC_100507.exe
2. rebooted
3. installed WDM_R126.exe
4. rebooted
5. installed infinst_autol.exe
6. rebooted
Now things are back to normal, no audio artifacts at all
