Dimmed Screen..... Super Dark Now!

Hihi! Finally I made my way to NBF again, but unfortunate, I came back here...

My screen has been blinking for at least two months now. Finally, it just turned as dark as you hold Fn+F8 all the way. Yes, I've tried Fn+F9, but it didn't work as I predicted.

This is the second time I've had the similar problem. It was a complete black screen last time when the beast was just one week old.

So, does anyone have any tip to cure it before I send it in again? Will AW just send out a tech to repire it?

come on, that's excatly what I used to say to others, but I want a quick solution here to fight the moon light tonight.

Grant,

I'm sure you will have to send it back, I doubt they will send someone out to fix it.

It sounds like it might be the LCD backlight. I am starting to have some problems with my 766 backlight. Sometiomes when I open the lid the screen flickers, if I move the lid it stays on. I am out of warranty so when it stops working I will take it apart and look at it myself but if you are still under warranty then you should just send it back and have them fix it.

OK, I called them. Guess what? They sent the LCD inverter to me and are gonna have a tech to make it through. I hope it works though.
On the other hand, on of the rubber spacer to the left of the webcam fell off the other day. Sigh... It had no double tape on the back! And then I looked at the screw behind it... Sigh again... It's all messed up. Someone over turned the screw during the first repair!
AW realli need to have some more responsible guys to take care their money source though...
